CCED’s Job Development Incentive (JDI) strengthens Charleston County’s economic competitiveness by improving job creation, increasing wages, and reducing commercial vacancies.

The program supports incoming and existing industry seeking to create new jobs by offering financial incentives that reduce hiring and training costs, ease expansion plans, and ultimately enhance workforce quality and long‑term productivity. 

The incentive structure offers $1,000 per new job created

Eligible if you’re:

  • Paying at or above county per‑capita income (currently $90,550/year)
