Charleston County Economic Development (CCED) is proud to announce a record-breaking year for economic growth and opportunity. In 2024, CCED facilitated 15 impactful projects, creating 1,029 new jobs and generating $1.28 billion in capital investment across Charleston County.

A standout achievement this year was Boeing’s $1 billion investment—the largest single investment announcement in Charleston County’s history. This significant milestone reinforces the region’s position as a global leader in aerospace and advanced manufacturing.

These projects underscore Charleston County’s continued prominence as a hub for innovation, industry, and economic opportunity. Companies across various sectors, including technology, logistics, manufacturing, and creative industries, chose to invest and expand within the region. The success of these initiatives demonstrates Charleston County’s unique combination of strategic location, skilled workforce, and business-friendly environment.
